True Blood

True Blood is one of the highest rated vampire television series in America. Created by Alan Ball, True Blood is based on the novels by Charlaine Harris called The Southern Vampire Mysteries.

The drama series traces the lives of vampires and humans living in a small Louisiana town. Except this time, the vampires are not the iconic monsters they are traditionally portrayed to be. The vampires have progressed to become fellow citizens of humans.

The plot of True Blood revolves around a telepathic waitress named Sookie Stackhouse, performed by Anna Paquin. Sookie falls in love with a 173-year-old vampire named Bill Compton.

In the first season, the show presents the audience with several murders of women, which are somehow connected to Sookie’s brother, Jason. The series continues with the various romantic relationships between Sookie and Bill as well as other characters.

True Blood has been well received by audiences and critics. The creator, Alan Ball, has been said to have stayed true to the real nature of vampires, who are blood-sucking monsters that kill. The show is a gothic romance drama that is sexy, mysterious, funny and spine-tingling all at the same time.
