Many people have vampire fetishes, or an irresistible attraction towards either vampires themselves, or the idea of vampires. They are very intrigued by the concept of vampirism, for it is a dark, mysterious idea. In the modern culture, however, many people’s fascination with vampires are in some part a result of the gothic culture, and its influence on members of society who see the world from a darker perspective, as opposed to conventional perspectives on life. There are individuals who claim to be vampires, and have a fetish for blood. Vampires, of course, are known for their blood fetish, for without blood, they cannot survive. Although one cannot truly prove whether human vampires exist or not, there are people who believe they exist. Many people who have a fascination with vampires pretend that they themselves are ones as well, and live their lives as though they are vampires. They dress in vampire attire, and live their daily lives as though they are vampires. They may begin to truly believe that they cannot go out in daylight and will live forever if they feed on blood. In art, vampires are depicted often, having appeared in literature, art, and films alike. The modern culture has an intrigue for vampirism, and artists constantly strive to renovate the idea of what a vampire truly is. During the time of Halloween, filmmakers strive to create new horror films portraying vampires in a slightly different light, in order to amaze and intrigue audiences, and they do not fail to attract the attention of children and adults alike.
